For Parents

Research shows that children’s learning becomes deeper and richer when it is supported by activities that relate school learning with family and the extended community.  To this end rare is offering family nature programs that support certain topics in the Ontario Ministry of Education Science and Technology curriculum.  Though these programs are based on the curriculum for certain grades, children of all ages (that includes parents) will enjoy the content.  They are chock full of hands-on nature exploration and discovery!  Parents will gain a richer understanding of the curriculum so that they can support their children’s learning outside of the classroom.  Look for more detailed descriptions of these upcoming sessions in our events calendar.
